A newer, more stylish servicing area, manned by cheerful and smiling young people. It was fun; a great destination on a summer Saturday Southern afternoon. A shaded pavilion sheltered the cider samplers from sun and rain drops. The cider and other apple products were delicious.
Rail buffs appreciated the appearance of the Norfolk & Western 611, a famous rebuild of a unique and rare steam locomotive, usually housed in Roanoke VA. The museum preserves many interesting buildings from the steam era, along with countless trains, autos and some aviation equipment. There are sometimes interesting photo ops at places like this.
The photo is of a piece of wall art in this lovely, friendly and clean restaurant on the main business street in Salisbury. Menu, enticing; food, delicious; service, good, attentive and friendly. With a bar, no less. Welcome, after a long hot morning at a museum in a nearby town.
