Mothers Day...

One of the loveliest photos of my Mother. Married less than a year, in post-WWII Mannheim, Germany in February 1947; playing with their new Irish Setter puppy, Mike. When they returned to the 'States, they brought the dog along. I can remember it from the early 1950's at my Grandparents' farm near Cincinnati.
