"An Old Lady's Game"? What's that? In Retirement, going after the interests I never "had time for": travel, gardens, reading, sewing, "family history play", taking photos, etc.
It is a "small creek" that may actually be the North Branch of the Chicago River--beyond the water is a huge water retention area; the river winds south from there. It is near Northbrook, Il. My back is to the shopping center with the Target, etc.
That is some severe flooding! We had a flashflood here last summer, that did a lot of damage. Backed up into a lot of basements, and some people are SO discouraged about that. Third time in 13 years...
Looks like a pretty area! I am not sure what is worse a flood or having a drought?
