Back to the Present...



...just outside my office window, Hubsy hung a thistle-feeder to attract the American Goldfinches; it's fun to watch their feeding and courting antics. In very early spring, the males begin to change their coloring from winter-drab to summer's brilliant yellow. You can see the transition before your eyes from this close up: Old Lady Fun!
