I Wish FlowerGirl Was With Us....

...my niece loves animals; the great friends we visited (too short a visit!) had lots of interesting critters! The cat that looks white was actually tinged with the prettiest golden accents around the edges. Shy, tho....

...Hubs' and our friends; another set of excellent, "above and beyond" public school teachers. Snake-bit tax-cutters that we are, we know our teacher friends and family work HARD against the odds. We listened, learned and were entertained by both of their "stories from the trenches" of the education system....but it was real hot outside: we all came out to water the stock and visit with them. Yes, those are two matching donkeys, a miniature white horse and a German Sheperd....

...there's the white "mini" again, and two regular sized horses. The white spot on the rump of the horse on the right is SALT from sweat; it's still 105-degrees.

...another little "mini". Comes up to my waist or so. They pull a pony chart, or else tiny kids can ride them.

...the donkey wanted to nuzzle and lick the dog, who was too hot to bother with it......

...getting a nice cool bath (so it could immediately lie down in the dirt and get muddy...are horses dumb?)

....another cute shot of "whitey"....Cool experience on a hot day. It was great fun to walk around in the fenced area with the horses; they were gentle and liked to be petted. There was also one giant brown horse, but she was kept separate during our visit....
